Poor Scoot doesn't quite get the attention he used to. Instead of running laps around the house all the time with him he now has to leap over and dodge Jacob's toys and listen to us yell gentle as Jacob tries to run with him. He can't lay on the couch and rest anymore since Jacob can easily climb up there to lay on him and grab at his paws. This game always emits giggles and growls.
Poor Scoot simply can't catch a break and we like to think he walks around muttering, "stupid kid, stupid kid, stupid kid" throughout the day.
The one way Scoot does benefit however is in no way small. Scoot now has a constant supply to human food. The pup who never begged, is now one of the worst beggars I have ever seen. He's smart about begging at dinner and lays under the high chair with just a bit of his butt sticking out since not only does Jacob toss down food, but he also throws down his sippy cup with force.
We do our best to assure Scoot that Jacob is simply in his puppy phase and will soon be his best friend. I'm not sure he believe is and still spends most the morning staring Jacob down and muttering.
